One of my favorite films, and one that I think anyone who works in any sort of journalism and is concerned with maintaining some standard of quality should watch. Don’t build a brand at the expense of doing work that matters, and doing it right.

“You crossed the line!” Holly Hunter shouts at William Hurt in the climax of James L. Brooks’ Broadcast News, incensed that Hurt’s television reporter staged a shot in one of his stories. “It’s hard not to cross it,” Hurt protests. “They just keep moving the little sucker, don’t they?”
