Rat Bohemia/Doin’ It Right
I’m reading Rat Bohemia by Sarah Schulman.
I read these passages and I think, I am like this too, or at least I sometimes feel like I am. Lacking in certain information. Never let in on the codes. Afraid I’m doing it all wrong. Sometimes suspicious and resentful.

The other day, just as I was reading these pages, my phone shuffled up Doin’ It Right…

which has always been a dreamsong for me, a dream about a time and a place and a person where it’s OK, you don’t have to know, you can learn what you need to learn but it’s OK if you don’t know right now, what you’re doing is fine, what you’re doing is right because it is you and because here there is love.
If you lose your way tonight
That’s how you know the magic’s right
To lose your way, to lose your doubt and fear and get outside of yourself and just be in the moment.
